A level 20 and a level 30 together both still get maximum XP in a level26 quest on reaper. A level 20 and a level 30 still get ¾th of the maximum when doing a level20 quest on elite together. Look at the "by quest level" tab and fill in for instance quest level 22 and see how the xp would behave if a high level player would be in your group.
The first 4 runs of spies, von 3, etc each life are fine. Its when the ransack starts kicking in then leveling gets really painful. 15 mins or more for 50-60k xp is seriously bad in comparison. Von 1-4 on r1 is okay with a large party, mostly because von 3 gives massive exp on r1. With a base of 4 skill points per level, Barbarians can generally maximize their primary skills without investing much at all in here. As generally only 2-3 skills are important. However 1-2 points are sometimes used in more advanced builds planning on keeping stats above 11 to be able to use silver flame potions effectively at the endgame.

Avoiding quests with NPC's or other quest objectives that cause failure if they die. Getting house K, Coin Lord and Argo favor for tier 2 bank space, inventory bags and +10 hp.

I don't recommend grinding past lives 1-20 unless you've already finished the 48 EPLs. They're even introducing more EPLs soon as well. Each time you TR at Lvl 20, you're basically throwing away all of the first time bonuses in Epics, which are quite juicy.
